Remember your day at the Sound with a photo at Waterfront Whimsea!
Weighing in at just over 1,000 pounds, the 18 ½ foot sculpture is a fanciful look at life below the Waterfront’s piers.
See how many undersea creatures you can spot! (Here’s a few to look out for…five starfish, a seagull, a wolf eel, a family of crab, AND a giant octopus!)
Located in Downtown Seattle’s Waterfront Park (Piers 57-59)
1301 Alaskan Way
Seattle, WA 98101
Commissioned by the Metropolitan Improvement District’s (MID) Waterfront Neighborhood Marketing Committee and crafted by artisans at Seattle’s Iron Design Center, the sculpture was designed to act as a nautical-themed centerpiece for visitors, residents and workers who make their way past the piers. The sculpture is one of the MID’s efforts to activate and beautify Downtown Seattle’s public spaces.
